15. Zenobia (240-275)

Zenobia (240-275) was a queen of the Palmyrene Empire in Syria who challenged the authority of the Roman Empire in the 3rd century. She conquered Egypt, Anatolia, Lebanon and Roman Judea until finally being defeated by the Roman emperor Aurelian.

Zénobie (240-275) était une reine de l'Empire Palmyrene en Syrie qui a contesté l'autorité de l'Empire romain au 3ème siècle. Elle a conquis l'Egypte, l'Anatolie, le Liban et la Judée Romaine jusqu'à sa défaite finale par l'empereur romain Aurélien.
